So this past weekend I went to M.A.I.con out here in Mississippi.... and I laugh at the poor fools that payed $40 for an Artist Alley table. There looked to be around 150~200 guest in attendance which, in my book is PUNY. Most of the guests were also from out of state.... I met TWO people from Mississippi at this con. So instead of staying around the convention, I ditched it for the Local LARPing group every afternoon.
Tho local Amtguard group is called Rebels Hold, and they are wonderful. It was lots of fun just going at it with sword in hand!!.... although I did sustain many injuries, the most frustrating is what appears to be a broken finger (Right Hand Ring Finger). This is the second finger injury i have sustained but it is worth it considering the fun, I just have to learn to be more careful..... Even though I am pretty new to LARPing, I can still gain ground with my background in fencing and the fact that I'm left handed.
Going back to the convention.... the worst thing was probably the dealers room.... WHO DECIDED TO MAKE MERCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN AT A REGULAR CON?!?! seriously, prices were inflated everywhere!! RAMUNE WAS $3!!! $3!!! I can get it at the store for $1.60 and at every other con for $2! Posters were $6 a piece (versus the $2~$3 normally) and all plushies had a $3~$5 inflation to the usual prices I expect at con....seriously messed up.
The Best thing was that I got Chris Sabbat's signature..... so many wonderful voices from this guy, but Kuwabara is my favorite!!
So All in all, not a great con to go to, but I found fun things to do anyways.

No MLN Update This Week
Hey guys, So I went to a Wizarding Convention last week... and it wound up having some consequences....
On the way back from the con, I ended up spinning off the road - totaling my car and leaving me injured. The injuries are not severe, but they (and a wrist injury the week before) were enough to knock my drawing hand out of commission for a bit. So while I am recuperating for the next week or so, this means that I will be skipping the next update of "My Life as a Naga."
Sorry for all the trouble guys and thank you for all your support!! I hope to be back on task come the next update, so please look forward to it!!
Return to Comics and Starting Patreon
HEY EVERYONE!!
My Winter break has begun, which means I am going to try to get my life together. What does that mean for you?
Well for starters, My Life as a Naga will be returning in full force, and after my new Patreon catches up to the backlog, I will be releasing a new page every other week.
I have also started a new comic called The Trouble with Losing Weight about the mishaps I have had while striving to be healthier. This comic will NOT be regularly posted here on DeviantArt but can instead be found on Tapas.
I have also begun the set up of a Patreon account where you can get both of these comic releases a week ahead of everyone e
Once a Year, Mandatory Journal Entry
Sorry these are so sparse, between school and work, I have little time to work on this site. So here is an update for all of you who may care XD
- I am now a sophomore and have (for the first time) succeeded in college thus far, with only one class (Personal Finances) failing to pass. !wryplz (https://www.deviantart.com/wryplz)
- After applying desperately at the end of last year, managed to be accepted in the AFA (Associates of Fine Arts) Program the was just instituted at my college. Basically this degree will tell 4 yr universities that I know my stuff as far as basic art goes, and I can opt out of re-taking most of the fundamental classes. This is cool becaus
I'm Going Back to School/Updates
Greetings Ladies, Gentlemen, and Others
I am excited to announce that, come fall, I will be returning to school in the attempt to obtain a bachelors degree. It's been 5 years since my last (failed) attempt and, in that time, I believe I have gained the patience and mental focus required to succeed... but I can know this for sure until school starts so I am quite nervous.
I will be attending Snow College in Utah (2 year school) and will be taking their art focus as a springboard into an animation degree. My last attempt a school left me failing so badly that I am now unable to receive grants/scholarships so I am paying for the first year ent
